-Award-Winning Agency’s Pinterest Contest Campaign for Charlotte Russe Acknowledged By Colorado Trade Association-

Red Door Interactive (RDI), a strategic partner dedicated to ensuring businesses engage their customers wherever they are, announced it has been recognized by the Colorado American Marketing Association (AMA) with a Bronze Award for its strategic cross-platform Pinterest campaign created for Charlotte Russe, “I Want it All for Fall.” The company received the honor within the Social Media/Viral Marketing Category at the 25th Annual Peak Awards ceremony on June 6, 2013 in Denver, Colo. To promote Charlotte Russe’s new Pinterest account and highlight its back-to-school looks, Red Door Interactive created the cross-platform Pinterest contest, which lived on the brand’s Facebook page. Fans and followers created Pinterest boards portraying their dream fall wardrobe and submitted the URL to the Facebook application in hopes of winning a shopping spree. A Red Door “style squad” then chose the top 10 finalists, who were put up to a fan vote on the application. There were more than 1,300 Pinterest boards submitted and nearly 50,000 application views. Charlotte Russe’s Pinterest account followers increased about 700% with more than 3,500 new followers. “We are thrilled to be honored by the Colorado AMA and recognized within the Social Media/Viral Marketing Category for our cross-platform contest for our client, Charlotte Russe,” said Mike Hadley, Senior Business Manager at Red Door Denver. “This was a really exciting contest because we were able to engage with and connect audiences on both Facebook and Pinterest. The Charlotte Russe Pinterest contest is an example of a creative social media campaign we can execute for a client looking to build and engage its audience around a promotion or new product launch. We are so happy to be recognized for this creativity and look forward to sharing many more social campaigns.” With award categories for advertising, branding and re-branding, conferences and events, online marketing, publishing, design elements, marketing research, student work and the best client-rejected ideas, Peak acknowledges the diverse, innovative work done by Colorado’s marketing community.
