A Message from Our CEO

We are deeply saddened and angered by recent events in our country. The senseless deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and too many others for too long reflect the deeply ingrained racial prejudice and injustice that still exists in our communities today. We know that in order to make the systematic changes needed it will take a collective effort from individuals, organizations, and our communities. We are committed to doing our part.

We will start by listening and asking questions so we can better understand how to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and our community through our actions with transparency.

We have long believed we are all made better by the diversity that exists within our communities. Our values are centered on the notion of creating a company where every person is welcome, respected, appreciated and free to be themselves. But we recognize we need to do more.

First, we will listen so we can identify the tough, honest questions we need to explore to foster open dialogue around race, social justice, and the role we must play in creating change.
This week we formed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee to help guide our efforts and hold ourselves accountable. Here are some of the questions we have started to explore.

  • How do we educate ourselves with the proper resources and apply those learnings to support our communities?

  • How can we promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in our industry, right now?

  • How can we as individuals be better allies to our colleagues, partners, clients and communities while continuing to advocate for positive change?

  • What is our plan for creating lasting and impactful change?

  • What is our plan for creating more opportunities for African Americans and other POC in our Industry and our communities?

What other questions should we be asking? What resources should we turn to? Please share your questions and resources with us as we begin this conversation and strive to create lasting change within Red Door and our community of clients, partners, and vendors.
