Every Wednesday at 3:30 we get together to celebrate an employee who exemplifies our core values to inspire, share, evolve, exceed and be 100% jerk-free. Our Share and Tell edition invites an employee to share something that inspires them and has a unique story. This week Jenna brings her USC football jersey.

For my We:30 I am bringing one of my USC football jerseys. The reason I am sharing my jersey is because going to USC football games has been a tradition for my family since I was very young.  Although we got our season tickets when I was in second grade, my sister and I were raised as little USC fans from the very beginning. This tradition was passed down from my grandpa to my dad, and then to my sister and I.

Every other weekend we would drive up to LA for the game. We always got there hours before the game for tailgating with friends. A couple years after we got our season tickets, USC hired head coach, Pete Carroll, and it was a really exciting time to be going to games. During the Carroll era USC won 6 BCS Bowl games, including two National Championships.

As part of our football tradition, we tried to go to an away game every year. Over the years, we’ve traveled to Virginia, Nebraska, Chicago, Hawaii, Colorado, and this year we plan on going to Boston. We would also go to each Rose Bowl game USC played in. For a while, we were spending every New Year’s Eve camping and every New Year’s Day at the game.

Going to USC games has been a really big part of my life growing up and is something my family and I will always do together.
