Our initial SEO efforts led to a 20% increase in the percentage of keywords ranking within the top ten search results across the major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, and MSN). However, Red Door recognizes that keyword rankings do not measure the true success of an SEM campaign. Consequently, we provided Turning Technologies with a more accurate measurement by tracking the number of conversions associated with non-brand keyword searches (traffic that is affected by SEO efforts). With this metric and an estimate from the client for lifetime customer value (LCV), we were able to calculate a 425% return on investment (ROI) provided by the SEO campaign in the first quarter of 2007.
