Red Door Interactive :: ...What's New

Making the Case for Optimism

It is a beautiful day here in sunny San Diego. The weather has been nice and ships are cruising through the bay. Our Denver office might agree that, from their perspective, their week couldn’t be better with 75 degrees in the city and snow on the mountains.

For us at Red Door, lately there is a lot to be thankful for beyond the weather. We have won a handful of new clients, launched some successful new sites and campaigns for existing clients and continue to increase people’s awareness of Red Door as a leader in helping companies succeed online. Despite all the good things we can cite, there is obviously a lot of turbulence in the world around us; exciting times!

There tends to be no better environment in which to create than the one right now. Sure, the margin of error is so very slim in times like these, but without bold action there can be no recovery. Take time to reflect on what’s going right and focus on it. Dig tactics out of your bag of tricks from years past and dust them off with a new twist. Discover the needs of your existing customers through communicating with them using inexpensive social media tools. Then, provide them with greater value than ever before by optimizing your CRM strategy. Now is the time to focus on your priorities like never before and let those creative juices flow to make the most out of this glorious day.

Red Door's Beer:30 Boxcar Wins at the San Diego Addy's

Every year, Red Door enters top creative to the San Diego ADDYs Creative Show. We've walked away with numerous awards over the years, but never anything quite like this.

This year, the San Diego Ad Club decided to host the first annual Pinewood Derby contest where local agencies race in-house designed boxcars. The Pinewood Derby supports this year's ADDYs theme -- "Your ideas have legs. Now let's see if they have wheels." There were four awards given: Fastest, Slowest, Most Creative and Best Representation of an Agency.

What award do you think we received? Check out the final boxcar.

eMarketing and Commerce
By Crosby Noricks

Twitter, the popular and fast-growing microblogging site, is like the Wild West — it has few laws, regulations or hard costs. It won’t stay that way for long, however. Reports all over the blogosphere suggest the company’s management team is floating the idea of requiring companies to pay for upgraded or enhanced services to the free offering. While details are in question, some form of paid services surely will become reality in the not-too-distant future.
