Cricket Communications developed a broadcast campaign featuring pets escaping, inviting customers to “free yourself from hassles and contracts.” The online component of this campaign was a viral video contest at FreedomTales.com. Customers were invited to send in videos of their pets escaping and vote. Winning pets would star in a future Cricket TV commercial. The contest was promoted through viral techniques and banner ads in select locations.
