Armed with the knowledge that young tax filers were wary of advertising in general, Red Door responded with a site for TurboTax® that gained the confidence of young adults by doing the unexpected – admitting that doing taxes was a drag. The homepage proclaimed, "Because you've got better things to do" and showed lifestyle shots of young adults having fun. Special offers on merchandise from Best Buy and discounts on trips sealed the deal. By the end of tax season, 50,000 new filers prepared their taxes online with TurboTax.
