An all-star event.
Every year, Mission Ventures, a San Diego-based venture capitalist firm, hosts an exclusive networking event, inviting venture capitalists from across the country. Since the event took place at a major-league baseball game, Red Door created an email campaign that captured the fun and allure of the sport. These emails had to stand out, breaking through the clutter of the hundred of emails, IMs and phone calls the VCs deal with every day. Using an All-Star motif, Red Door’s emails and invites features “all-star” keynote speakers, whose presence would encourage the attendance of the invitees. The interactive nature of email enabled busy VCs to RSVP with a click.
