What do you do when you’re the little guy? Cox’s better-funded competitor, AT&T was making questionable claims about their high-speed Internet service. Cox needed an effective way to dissuade those claims and to convert more AT&T customers to Cox. Red Door created rich media banner ads that poked fun at DSL, the technology used by AT&T’s Internet services. The ads posed the question “What does DSL really stand for?” Cox offered the answers: Dated, Slow, Lagging and Downtime, Stressful, Lousy. Upon rollover, customers can compare AT&T and Cox and learn more about Cox High Speed Internet. A low-priced introductory offer gives customers even more incentive to make the switch
