An Open API from MasterCard to Develop Applications? Priceless - ReadWriteWeb
“MasterCard has announced that desktop and mobile developers will have access to an API from the credit card giant later this year. The company hopes that by opening its technology to developers, new and innovative e-commerce applications that leverage the MasterCard network will be created, potentially competing with the likes of Visa, PayPal and Square.”
This marks a continual increase in companies creating mobile platforms which allow customers to perform transaction via mobile devices. Square particularly has a created hype with its mobile application that enables credit cards to be scanned on a mobile device. These technological advancements will likely affect your business, now and into the future.
