And, what did we learn? Well, I, for one, learned about the value of the connections that you make at these things.
I love how everyone comes together and gets together. People come together to put on the event and take care of all the special details that make the experience effective. You had to appreciate details like the little card with the directions on how to get home from a night on the town, the Red Door Martinis (you don’t have to appreciate them the morning after), the handy USB drives with the presentations, as well as all the happy Blue Hornet folks who help you out no matter what the concern.
Then, people get together around topic that, to the ordinary, non-digital-marketing-Joe may seem mundane, however the folks at this conference dive in with gusto. Landing pages, CAN-SPAM, deliverability, engagement, segmentation… the list goes on. I am inspired when I overhear conversation laden with buzzwords, yet done so with practical application to a wide variety of businesses. ; without that reciprocity, I don’t think we’d have such a good time… despite the presence of sunshine, bay views and cocktails…
So, what’d you learn?
