< Back to Main Blog We:30 of the Week- Reid By Aaron Pham on May 17, 2013 | Red Door, Red Door Culture | Leave a comment We:30 is a weekly tradition here at Red Door Interactive, in which we take the time to celebrate and feature an employee who exemplifies our core values to inspire, share, evolve, exceed, and be 100% jerk-free. We:30 also gives us a chance to learn some interesting and fun facts about the featured employee! This week features Reid Carr, President & CEO ! Did you know… I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and after spending several summers working with my mom who was an craft-store sales rep (indoors) I actually chose to work in my dad’s lumber yard throwing lumber (outdoors). I was in the yard on the day the temperature hit 122 degrees. After about 115 degrees, it just doesn’t matter anymore. I am an only-child. My mom tells me that it is because they got it right the first time. I tend to think I was actually all they could handle… Either way, I try not to let it go to my head. I am married to Amy with one son George who is 7. I love playing sports and still play soccer twice/week. I went to the University of Oregon and am a proud Duck fan; there I received a BA in Journalism with an Advertising emphasis. Growing up in the sun of Phoenix and then living in the rain of Eugene, gets one through school in four years. I was a spelling bee champ back in the days before automated spell-check. My spelling superpowers have waned with the persistent squiggly-lined kryptonite. I am the President and CEO of Red Door Interactive as well as ambassador of Red Door’s core values both internally and externally. My role is to surface the best thinking from our exceptional people, synthesize and communicate our vision and goals to help make them actionable, recruit and retain the best available talent and make a positive impact on our community on behalf of the company.
