< Back to Main Blog We:30 of the Week – Charles By Red Door on January 23, 2013 | Red Door, Red Door Culture | Leave a comment We:30 is a weekly tradition here at Red Door Interactive, in which we take the time to celebrate and feature an employee who exemplifies our core values to inspire, share, evolve, exceed, and be 100% jerk-free. We:30 also gives us a chance to learn some interesting and fun facts about the featured employee! This week features Charles Wiedenhoft, Director of Strategic Planning! Did you know… I was born in Toledo, OH. It’s known as the Glass City. Other than glassware and fiberglass (think Pink Panther), Toledo is proud to be the home of Jeep Automobiles and Jamie Farr (Klinger from the television show M*A*S*H). Skateboarding was a huge influence during my formative years. My friends and I would literally skate all day – from sunrise to sunset, and sometimes all night. What I appreciate most about skateboarding is how it connected me with people from all walks of life. I was in the first class to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Design from the University of Cincinnati. It was a new major in the School of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP). We got to shape the curriculum. That was fun. My grandfather restored classic 1960’s cars – mostly Jaguars, SAABs and Aston Martins. I used to help him. Someday, when I find the time, I hope to restore a classic Porsche. I’m the Director of Strategic Planning at Red Door. It’s my job to design strategic tools used to create, implement and optimize our clients’ integrated marketing plans. One aspect of my role that I enjoy most is to discover insights about our clients’ ideal customers and the best methods to reach them.
