< Back to Main Blog We:30 of the Week: Grant! By Red Door on August 07, 2013 | Red Door, Red Door Culture | Leave a comment We:30 is a weekly tradition here at Red Door Interactive, in which we take the time to celebrate and feature an employee who exemplifies our core values to inspire, share, evolve, exceed, and be 100% jerk-free. We:30 also gives us a chance to learn some interesting and fun facts about the featured employee! This week features Grant Brisacher, our CFO! Did you know… I’m a native Californian, born in San Francisco and raised 30 miles south in the Atherton/Menlo Park area. I am the youngest of 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, we’re all about two years apart. I grew up in a very competitive household. Still don’t know how my Mom managed 5 kids, she’s an amazing person and one of my heroes. I’m still an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan. Love Bay Area sports, it’s in my blood. Moved to Encinitas when I was a junior in high school, attended San Dieguito where I was a smart jock. Graduated from SDSU with a BS in Business Admin with emphasis in accounting. Passed the CPA exam my last semester in school. Wouldn’t want to take that exam again… Worked 3 jobs concurrently through college without any student loans. A liquor store clerk (lots of perks), a dockhand at Campland on the Bay (lots of fun) and an accounting assistant at Rick Engineering. All three provided me some valuable insights and life lessons. Right after college, I started my business career with Coopers & Lybrand, now PWC, which at the time was one of the eight largest international accounting and consulting firms. I was fortunate to work with a lot of smart people, kind of similar to our people here at Red Door. Work hard, play harder J I took up golf after college and it remains one of my passions today along with alpine skiing and fitness, including yoga. (Threw the “yoga” one in for Lisa Schiavello, Namaste) I would be remiss if I didn’t mention I have a 10 year old female golden retriever, Nikki. She has the life any dog would envy. Two “hearty” meals a day, a nice pool, tennis balls, plenty of attention, play dates, hair appointments, what a life… I got married on the 4th of July, wait, isn’t that Independence Day? Well it made for a great party and 7 good years of marriage. I’m fortunate to work with all the great people at Red Door as the energy and enthusiasm keeps me feeling youthful. It’s truly, a unique culture. A big thank you to Reid, Amy and the Exec team for allowing me to be a part of this adventure. As the CFO, I have been consulting at Red Door since October 2006 as the Company’s CFO where my focus is managing the Company’s fiscal policies and financial strategies. With “Maximizer” as one of my primary strengths, I’m seeking ways for Red Door to continually achieve financial excellence.
