Shea Homes improves home buying experience with new website

SAN DIEGO – February 8, 2011 – Shea Homes announced today the launch of its new website that offers an array of unique features, resources and tools to better assist buyers when searching for a new home.

The builder partnered with Red Door Interactive, an internet presence management firm, to develop a user-friendly site and provide visitors with the most enjoyable online experience.

“The majority of potential homebuyers conduct a lot of online research before even considering an area or home. We knew it was imperative to make our website one in which folks could find what they are looking for and more,” said Bert Selva, President and CEO of Shea Homes. “Our goal was to provide a lot of resources for home shoppers, including home buying guides, check lists, financing information and information about the purchase process from start to finish.”

Shea Homes places a great emphasis on helping buyer’s choose a home that best fits their lifestyle. To make this happen, Shea implemented its Shea SpaceBuilder Tool on the new website to help buyers plan out their space and determine if the house is ideally suited to their setting and lifestyle needs. Home shoppers can create their dream home by selecting architectural options and exterior colors and by looking at different floor plans to determine where things like a couch or bed would fit in a room. In addition, the tool allows buyers to share the homes they like through email or on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. This innovative tool was developed using Alpha Vision Technology’s Virtual Presentation System (VPS).
