Truman Esmond is Red Door Interactive’s Quality Architect on the Project Management team. In his role of Quality Architect, Truman is committed to the integrity of the development and testing process to ensure quality client deliverables. He is always 100% dedicated to the projects he is working on and over the past few months he has really gone above and beyond, so much so, that he received the most Mad Props last quarter! 

What did Truman do to earn each Map Prop? The question should be: what did he not do? Truman spent many late nights in the Denver office working to perfect wireframes for a client (we still think he may have slept there a few times:)). Have a technical question? Truman is the troubleshooter in the Denver office, and is recognized for not only resolving technical issues quickly, but also answering questions and patiently teaching us anything technical. Truman has also been applauded for his work on improving our RDI project process. It is clear that he cares deeply about our success and it shows in the detailed process improvements and the way he conveys the changes in each and every training session he leads.

Winning the most Mad Prop nominations shows how much Truman’s unceasing dedication is appreciated. No matter how many projects, emails, or meetings Truman has you can always count on him, and his sense of humor, to be there if you need a helping hand or a good laugh. We often wonder if there is such thing as a bad day in the land of Truman…

Why We Check In: The Reasons People Use Location-Based Social Networks – ReadWriteWeb
In this week’s Click! we’ve taken a closer look at the growth and opportunities around  “geo-location” or location-based technologies.   As the use of location based services continues to skyrocket, restaurants appear to be the primary benefactor.  Users of the technology are provided with opportunities for being be wooed into a new experience at a nearby location or simply find their favorite fix in a matter of seconds.  The restaurant example cited on the Wikipedia page for Location-based advertising notes that in addition to a user becoming aware of the location, they can instantly access a map of how to get to the spot.

eBay has expressed that mobile is the future for e-commerce. Verizon Wireless Said to Start Offering IPhone in January - Bloomberg
According to UBS AG analyst John Hodulik, “The iPhone, which has been the sole domain of rival AT&T in the U.S. since June 2007, will give Verizon a boost in its competition for smartphone customers.” He estimates that the “92.8 million Verizon customers will likely buy 30 million iPhones per quarter.” What does this potentially mean for your business? An Open API from MasterCard to Develop Applications? Priceless  - ReadWriteWeb
“MasterCard has announced that desktop and mobile developers will have access to an API from the credit card giant later this year. Interpublic: Online Poised To Supplant Newspapers As World’s No. 2 Ad Medium - MediaPost 
“Online advertising is now on pace to become the world’s second largest advertising medium – just behind TV – by the 2013, according to a revised global advertising report released this morning by Interpublic’s Magna Global unit. 

The agency, long respected as Madison Avenue’s definitive source for the global ad economy, projected worldwide online ad spending would surpass the $100 billion mark, totaling $103 billion in 2015, due largely to an expansion of online advertising inventory.” 

Though newspapers are expected to see 1.8% growth, the findings reflect the continued dramatic shift away from daily print news media to digital channels.
