San Diego Business Journal names Red Door Interactive Finalist for Best Places to Work Award
Agency named for third straight year; awarded honoree in previous appearances
Red Door Interactive, a premier strategic Internet Presence Management firm, announced today that the San Diego Business Journal named it a finalist for its annual “Best Places to Work” award.
The agency was selected for the third straight year after being chosen as an honoree in their other two appearances.
“Our continued double-digit growth is the direct result of the high caliber of people we have here who are as committed to one another as much as they are to our clients in delivering real, measurable business value every day,” said Reid Carr, president of Red Door Interactive. “Taking care of them has been a key guiding principle and core value of our company since our inception, and they are the primary reason that we’ve been so successful over the past seven years. I couldn’t be more proud of them!”
The 10th annual event will take place on May 20 where this year’s winners will be formally announced. The criteria for the 2009 award are more stringent, with a majority of employees required to fill out anonymous, online surveys about various aspects of their work environment. To that end, Red Door Interactive offers unique benefits to their employees, including:
- The headquarters located in DiamondView Tower overlooking Petco Park to create a more collaborate, team-building environment.
- The lack of office doors in the company’s workplace – including the CEO’s area – to support an open and collaborative environment.
- Red Door Interactive’s “100 percent jerk-free environment” policy to ensure the company encompasses a team of friendly, well-rounded people, but employees can dress casual and listen to music at their work stations.
- Formulation of the “Start, Stop and Keep” strategy whereby the CEO requests feedback from all staff members on internal programs that the company should start, stop or keep doing.
- Allotment of paid time during the flexible work week schedule for each Red Door Interactive’s staff members for training and professional development initiatives to enhance their professional repertoire.
- Competitive health, vacation and retirement benefits.
